Spencer grew up among many other Norwegians in the Seattle area. He spent most of his youth on skis, racing and eventually coaching before “retiring” to get his bachelor's degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has spent ten years leading trips for Backroads while also pursuing his entrepreneurial passions on the different continents he visits. Spencer recently attained his MBA in Sustainable Business Systems and is looking to make a positive impact with the leadership and interpersonal skills he has honed as a Backroads Trip Leader.
